A bronze statue of Jimi Hendrix by local artist Daryl Smith, unveiled in 1997 on Capitol Hill. The pose is based on photographs from the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival. Smith got one detail right that most people miss, Hendrix was left-handed and played a right-handed guitar strung upside down.
