Jimi Hendrix
· 2003
The 9-meter-high granite dome, supported by three marble columns, was unveiled in 2003 by Hendrix's father. Originally buried under a simple headstone in 1970, Jimi's remains were secretly moved here the night before what would have been his 60th birthday. His father, Al, passed away two months before the monument's completion. The center of the dome was designed to house a bronze statue of Hendrix but it was never installed.
