James "The Rev" Sullivan Grave

The Story

Jimmy Sullivan, The Rev, was born on February 9, 1981, and was the founding drummer, vocalist, pianist, and songwriter of Avenged Sevenfold, one of the most important bands in modern metal. He contributed memorable vocals on tracks such as "A Little Piece of Heaven", "Afterlife", and "Critical Acclaim". He died at his home in Huntington Beach on December 28, 2009, at the age of 28. The band's subsequent album, Nightmare, was entirely dedicated to his memory. His original drum kit is on permanent display at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Fans from all over the world visit his grave regularly, leaving drumsticks and messages.
