Johnny Ramone Hollywood Forever Cemetery

The Story

Johnny Ramone, co-founding guitarist of the Ramones, is honored at Hollywood Forever with a life-size bronze statue of him playing guitar. His ashes are with his widow, Linda Ramone. He died of prostate cancer in September 2004, at the age of 55. The statue was unveiled on January 14, 2005, in a public ceremony that brought together Eddie Vedder, Rob Zombie, Nicolas Cage, and other friends of Johnny. The cemetery is located a few blocks from Paramount Studios and hosts outdoor cinema shows in the summer.
