The House of World Culture, or simply HKW for the locals, is Germany's national center for contemporary non-European arts and global digital/visual cultures. Located in Berlin, it serves as a vibrant hub for international art, music, literature, and performing arts. In 1980, part of the curved roof collapsed and was rebuilt. Nick Cave, Björk and dozens of experimental artists have performed here.
