The Harlem club where bebop was invented at late-night jam sessions in the early 1940s. Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and Thelonious Monk played at the legendary Monday-night sessions. Miles Davis described Minton's as the place where everything changed. The club has undergone several closures and re-openings over the decades.
