FAC 251 — Factory Manchester

The Story

The former Factory Records headquarters opened in September 1990, on the corner of Princess Street and Charles Street. Tony Wilson assigned it the catalogue number FAC 251 and had it engraved, intentionally rustically, on the famous building. Today, the building operates as a three-story nightclub and music venue with the same name, reopened in 2010 by Peter Hook of Joy Division and New Order.
