Rogério Duprat, Hermeto Pascoal, O Terço, Ney Matogrosso
1974
This legendary studio was founded in 1974 when maestro Rogério Duprat, the duo Sá & Guarabyra, and sound engineer Luiz Augusto de Arruda Botelho joined Vanderlei Rodrigues to establish and build Vice-Versa, featuring two recording rooms and a vinyl cutting room. Throughout the 1970s, it hosted historical recordings such as Hermeto Pascoal's *Viajando com o Som*, O Terço's *Casa Encantada*, and Ney Matogrosso's *Pecado*. In the early 1980s, Duprat and Guarabyra left the partnership, and the studio began to focus on advertising work. In 2000, it was acquired by the Trama record label, ending 26 years of operation under the name Vice-Versa. The building where it operated was demolished in the late 2010s, and today nothing remains of the original property.
