A bronze statue unveiled on 22 March 1996 on the Boulevard 28 de Setembro, showing Noel Rosa seated at a bar table, cigarette between his fingers, beer bottle, glass, with an empty chair beside him, inviting the visitor to sit. Everything about his life happened within a few blocks of this spot:.The house where he was born, the bars where he composed, the school of samba whose colors he loved. The empty chair has become one of the most photographed seats in Vila Isabel.
