Eleanor Rigby Statue

The Story

A bronze figure of the lonely woman from the Beatles'song, sitting alone on a bench in Stanley Street. It was sculpted and donated to the city in 1982 by Tommy Steele, himself a 1950s pop pioneer. Fans often sit beside her for a photograph.
