The heavy metal bar at 168 Marcy Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, opened in 1999 in Hell's Kitchen before relocating to Brooklyn in 2004. A significant portion of the decor pays tribute to local rockstar Peter Steele, establishing an intense heavy metal atmosphere, floor to ceiling in metal memorabilia, framed guitars, signed drumheads and show flyers. The bar houses a custom Peter Steele Type O Negative replica bass, delivered on Halloween. Type O Negative were regular patrons. Every 14 April the bar hosts an annual Peter Steele tribute night.
