This was nightclub where Bowie, Iggy Pop and Nick Cave spent many nights in the late 1970s and 1980s. The building had previously hosted a Weimar-era nightclub and a jazz room where Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald performed in the 1940s. Bowie referenced it directly in song Where Are We Now? from 2013. "Sitting in the Dschungel, on Nürnberger Straße". The Dschungel is closed. The building is now the Ellington Hotel.
