David Bowie, Iggy Pop
· 1977
Known as Anderes Ufer when Bowie and Iggy were regulars, was the first openly gay and lesbian bar in Germany, with no bell at the door, no heavy curtains, a deliberate policy of openness. Bowie and Iggy breakfasted here in the mornings and drank in the evenings. Today called Neues Ufer, the walls are covered with photographs of Bowie. The Blackstar album cover decorates the façade. Still open.
