The Story
The venue opened in 1941 and has hosted many events such as sports, concerts, conventions, fairs, and political rallies. The Beatles, The Who, Grateful Dead, Kiss, U2, and Nirvana all played here. The Runaway's final show was here, on New Year's Eve 1978, though the breakup wasn't officially announced until April 1979.
