Chris Cornell Statue

The Story

A bronze statue of Chris Cornell by sculptor Nick Mara, unveiled in 2021 beside MoPOP. The pose and details were chosen by Cornell's widow Vicky from personal photographs. The statue has no pedestal, it stands at street level so visitors can approach and, as the family said, 'look him in the eyes.' In November 2025, Soundgarden was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Cornell's daughter Toni performed Fell on Black Days at the ceremony.
