Chris Cornell Statue

The Story

A bronze statue of Chris Cornell, by sculptor Nick Marra, was unveiled in 2018 next to MoPOP. The pose and details were chosen by Chris Cornell's widow, Vicky, using personal photographs. The statue has no pedestal; it's at street level so fans can get close and, as the family said, "look him in the eyes." In November 2025, Soundgarden was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Chris Cornell's daughter, Toni, sang "Fell on Black Days" at the ceremony.
