The Story

Lead singer of Barão Vermelho before his solo career, Cazuza became one of the most important voices and poets in Brazilian rock. He created anthems such as "Codinome Beija-Flor" and "Brasil". He died of AIDS complications in 1990, at the age of 32. He was one of the first Brazilian public figures to speak openly about the diagnosis at a time of immense taboo.
