The Story

Founded in 2006 in a small townhouse in Jardim Paulista, Casa de Francisca moved in 2017 to the Tereza Toledo Lara Palace, a 1910 building in the historic center of São Paulo. For 91 years, the location housed Casa Bevilacqua, the city's first musical instrument store, earning it the nickname "the musical corner" of São Paulo. It became a landmark for São Paulo's contemporary MPB and jazz scene, featuring intimate shows, acoustic sets, and experimental performances. It launched and solidified a generation of artists, including Juçara Marçal, and became one of the most important small music venues in Brazilian music.
