On August 28, 1987, Viper played here the release show for *Soldiers of Sunrise*, their debut album recorded at Estúdio Eldorado. Andre Matos entered the stage carrying a lit torch to mark the moment. What was supposed to be a theatrical gesture turned into a small fire when roadie Val Santos tried to extinguish the torch and the fire spread across the stage. The show continued. Felipe Machado recalled the incident in an interview with Folha de S.Paulo. *Soldiers of Sunrise* is considered the first Brazilian speed metal album and was recorded at Estúdio Eldorado, and Andre Matos was 16 years old at the time.
