The Story
This is the address of Casa da Tia Ciata, a cultural center founded by the great-granddaughter of Hilária Batista de Almeida, the Mother of Santos Tia Ciata, to keep her memory alive. It was in her historic house, in Cidade Nova, that Pelo Telefone, the first samba to be recorded, was collectively composed in 1916.
