Est. 1956–presente
The 13-story cylindrical building designed in 1956 to look like a stack of vinyl records is the most recognizable symbol of the Los Angeles music industry. Frank Sinatra recorded his first 19 albums here. The eight subterranean concrete echo chambers, designed by Les Paul, created the signature sound that defined decades of American recordings.
