Club where Bob Dylan played his first New York show in 1961 and Jimi Hendrix played early gigs in 1966 and was discovered by The Monkeys' Chas Chandler who took him to London. Bruce Springsteen performed here before his breakthrough. The club opened as a beatnik coffee house in 1959 and still operates today as one of the oldest continuously running music venues in Greenwich Village.
