Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen
1959–
The club where Bob Dylan played his first New York show in 1961 and where Jimi Hendrix played early in his career in 1966 and was discovered by Chas Chandler of The Animals who took him to London. Bruce Springsteen performed here before he broke big. The club opened as a beatnik coffeehouse in 1959 and still operates today as one of the oldest continuously running music venues in Greenwich Village.
