Built by Jimi Hendrix in 1970 in Greenwich Village. Hendrix died before he saw the studio open to other artists. Since then, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, The Clash, D'Angelo, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift have recorded here. The interior was designed by architect John Storyk, with sound engineer Eddie Kramer overseeing the technical and sound design.
