Jazz, Blues
1993
Inaugurated in December 1993 in Moema, Bourbon Street Music Club gave jazz and blues a permanent home in the city, and today it is considered one of the 100 best jazz clubs in the world by the American magazine DownBeat. For over three decades, it has hosted practically all important Brazilian jazz musicians and dozens of international names, including B.B. King, who opened the club and returned almost ten times. The intimate format of the venue has remained unchanged since its opening.
