Techno
2004
The world's most famous techno club opened in 2004 in a former power plant from 1953, in Friedrichshain. Concrete walls, 18-meter ceilings, a powerful sound system, a complete ban on photography, and Europe's most selective door. In 2016, a German court officially recognized Berghain as a cultural institution, reducing its tax burden. Many celebrities have been turned away at the entrance. Parties start on Saturday night and can last until Monday morning.
