Open since 1961 on the main square of Santa Tereza, Bar do Bolão became an informal hub for Belo Horizonte's entire music scene. Skank, Sepultura, Pato Fu, Jota Quest, Lô and Márcio Borges have all been regulars. Paulo Xisto from Sepultura left a silver astronaut VMA here. It went viral in 2022 when someone finally noticed it on the wall. Sting came to visit the neighborhood and ended up here.
