The Story
The world's largest independent record store, opened in Hollywood in 2001, originally on Sunset Boulevard. Over 2,600 square meters of vinyl, CDs, DVDs, and a stage for free concerts. It was Hollywood's cultural landmark for almost two decades until it moved to its current location in 2021 due to a real estate project at the old site. It survives streaming and helps maintain the culture of collecting and physical music. It still has headquarters in Berkeley and San Francisco, California.
