Pop Nacional, Largo da Batata
1987–1996
Opened in November 1987 in the then-revered Largo da Batata region, AeroAnta became a springboard for some of the biggest names in national rock and pop, without failing to host foreign artists passing through the city. It welcomed names like Cazuza, Caetano Veloso, Titãs, Ira!, Tim Maia, and Raimundos, as well as international artists such as Buzzcocks, Nick Cave, and Joe Satriani. It closed its doors in 1996. It was located at Rua Miguel Isasa, 404, but due to the construction of Avenida Faria Lima, the street no longer exists. Later, the site also briefly housed a Jack Daniel's themed bar.
