The Story
The cover of Wings' *London Town* shows Paul and Linda McCartney and Denny Laine on the north bank of the River Thames, with the Tower Bridge in the background. The photo looks simple, but it's a montage. The three were photographed separately, and the image was composed by the studio Hipgnosis, the same ones responsible for Pink Floyd's album covers. The album was recorded partly at Abbey Road and partly on a yacht in the US Virgin Islands. A good spot to replicate the cover is at Tower Bridge Wharf, which has a marked photo spot with the same view.
