The Story

A nightclub on Little Peter Street where James, The Charlatans, and Happy Mondays played on the opening night in 1986. The Stone Roses also performed there regularly in subsequent years. Oasis played their first live show here on August 18, 1991. The venue closed in 1999 and the building, now converted into offices, still stands, with a small blue plaque marking the spot. Joy Division's rehearsal studios were also on the same street, in the adjacent building.
