The Story

Home of Manchester City FC from 1923 to 2003, Maine Road hosted Oasis's first-ever stadium headline shows on 27 and 28 April 1996. Two nights and 80,000 people. The stadium was demolished in 2004 and replaced by a housing estate. The former centre circle was landscaped into a garden, which Noel Gallagher photographed for the cover of his solo album Council Skies.
