The Story

This was the Haight-Ashbury address where Sid Vicious briefly lived during the Sex Pistols' final US tour in January 1978. Two days after the band's last show at the Winterland Ballroom, he suffered a non-fatal overdose here. Johnny Rotten had already left the band on the same night as the show. Sid died of an overdose in New York in February 1979, at the age of 21. Private residence.
