Jefferson Airplane House

Jefferson Airplane, Grace Slick

1967

The Story

This beautiful house on Fulton Street was purchased by Jefferson Airplane in 1968, one year after the Summer of Love, and became the band's collective residence and headquarters, a few blocks from Golden Gate Park. It was here that Grace Slick recorded much of the history behind hits like "White Rabbit." The house became a model for the collective artistic life that defined the Haight-Ashbury experiment. Private residence.
