The Story
Founded by saxophonist Ronnie Scott in 1959 on Frith Street, in Soho, this is one of the greatest jazz clubs in the world. Jimi Hendrix made his last public appearance on this stage in September 1970. Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, and Dizzy Gillespie have all played here. It remains active under its original name after more than six decades.
