Plebe Rude, Legião Urbana, Renato Russo, Aborto Elétrico, Mel da Terra
1981
This park in Lago Norte, also known as Ciclovia do Lago Norte (Lago Norte Bike Path), was one of the most important hubs for rock and punk rock in Brasília in the 80s. It hosted Bar da Márcia, a popular weekend spot, and was home to a project that brought bands to play outdoors on the last Sunday of each month. Bands like Plebe Rude, Pôr do Sol, Aborto Elétrico, Fusão, Udi Grudi, Escola de Escândalos, Mel da Terra, and Trem das Cores performed there. The Rock na Ciclovia event, organized by Plebe Rude starting in 1981, gathered almost all the names of Brasília's punk, rock, and MPB scene of the time. It was here, immortalized in the film "Somos Tão Jovens," that Renato Russo began his first shows as Trovador Solitário. In 1982, the first known live photo of Legião Urbana was taken here. This is an official point on the Brasília Rock Capital Route. Today, what remains are the lake view, the pier, and walking trails, but the charm of the barbecues and concerts is gone.
