The Story

This store opened in 1984 and was the first record shop on the famous Berwick Street, managed since then by Duncan Kerr. In 1986, Jon More was working at the store when Matt Black started showing up as a regular customer, until the two formed the duo Coldcut, who would release their debut single Say Kids What Time Is It? the following year. The store is also immortalized on the cover of Oasis' (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, with its facade appearing in the background on the left side of the photo. It remains active.
