The Rainbow Bar & Grill, on the famous Sunset Strip, is one of the most legendary bars in Los Angeles rock history. Opened in 1972, it became a permanent meeting point for musicians and industry figures, especially from hard rock and heavy metal scenes. Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead had his own table and frequented the bar until his death in December 2015. Ronnie James Dio, Debbie Harry, John Lennon, and Led Zeppelin also stopped by. The Rainbow Bar became a symbol of Los Angeles rock culture, preserving the atmosphere of the Sunset Strip's golden era to this day.
