The Story

Praça da Estação is one of Belo Horizonte's great cultural meeting points. Over the years, it has become an open-air stage for large-scale events that gather crowds, such as Sepultura's show at Virada Cultural in 2015, Skank's show for the city's 120th anniversary in 2017, with over 50,000 people, and Marília Mendonça's surprise free show in 2019, which brought together over 100,000 people and brought downtown traffic to a halt. It is one of the busiest and most beloved squares in the Minas Gerais capital.
