Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Who
Est. 1966–2009
Founded in 1966 in Barnes, the Olympic was considered the equivalent of Abbey Road at its peak. The Rolling Stones recorded their first single here. Jimi Hendrix produced here. Led Zeppelin and The Who were constant presences. The studio closed in 2009 and reopened as a cinema and café, with a smaller recording space still in operation.
