The blue triplex in Olympia is where Kurt Cobain lived from 1989 to 1991, first with girlfriend Tracey Miranda, later with Dave Grohl. Many of Nirvana's most famous songs began here. Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill wrote 'Kurt Smells Like Teen Spirit' on a wall of the apartment. It was the name of a deodorant he used. Cobain turned the phrase into the song that changed popular music. Private residence.
