This modernist gallery, on the corner of Praça Dom José Gaspar, was taken over by São Paulo's psychedelic youth in the late 1960s. Young people were attracted to the artist Antonio Peticov and Ponto de Encontro, a bar in the basement that also functioned as an art gallery and a meeting point for avant-garde poets and intellectuals. Caetano, Gil, Os Mutantes, beatniks, and artists of all kinds would hang out there, exchanging ideas and creating projects.
