The Story

This studio was built in 1971 with money generated by Creedence Clearwater Revival for Fantasy Records and was soon nicknamed "The House That Creedence Built." Green Day recorded Dookie here in 1993 on a shoestring budget, for an album that would go on to sell 20 million copies. Journey recorded Escape here in 1981, recording the anthem "Don't Stop Believin'." It closed permanently in September 2018.
