Country Joe & the Fish House

Country Joe & the Fish

1967

The Story

The apartment nicknamed "fish tank" where Country Joe & the Fish lived and created their music during the Summer of Love. It was here that The Fish Cheer / I Feel Like I'm Fixin' to Die Rag was written as the great anthem against the Vietnam War. The house is practically across the street from the apartment where Janis Joplin also lived, on the same street, and still attracts fans who take pictures in front of the property. Private residence.
