The Story

Opened on March 12, 1979, this convention center on the Eixo Monumental was already known as a stage for major MPB events when, in 1984, a historic Kid Abelha concert definitively placed it on the national rock circuit. The following year, a show bringing together Legião Urbana, Plebe Rude, and Ultraje a Rigor on the same stage exposed Brasília's rock scene to the largest audience the city had seen until then. One of the largest convention centers in South America, it continues to host concerts, festivals, and large-scale cultural events. Listed on the official Rock Route.
