The Story

The cover of Cartola's second comeback album was photographed at a window on Rua Visconde de Niterói, in Mangueira. Cartola next to Dona Zica. The exact address is a bit confusing. A nearby building, at number 824, has an official plaque recognizing Dona Zica's house as a cultural heritage site of Rio de Janeiro. But the most cited address, including by SESC São Paulo, as the place where the couple actually lived together, and where this photo was taken, is number 896. There is still no official marking there.
