The 24-hour restaurant/deli on Fairfax Avenue was where musicians went after shows or recording sessions. Joni Mitchell, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, and members of The Doors were regulars. The Kibitz Room bar in the back hosted impromptu performances by names such as Chuck Berry. Recently, the album cover for Women in Music Pt. III by HAIM was shot inside the deli by the Oscar winner director Paul Thomas Anderson.
