The Story

An all-ages punk club founded in December 1986 in a Berkeley warehouse. It is entirely volunteer-run, alcohol-free, and no major label bands. Green Day was initially rejected for being "too pop." The band insisted until they got in but was banned in 1993 after signing with Warner Bros. They returned in 2015 for a benefit concert. It still operates as the Alternative Music Foundation.
