Westlake Studios C & D

The Story

These studios were built in the mid-1970s as an expansion of Westlake, specifically dedicated to Quincy Jones and Bruce Swedien, with Studio D becoming the largest and best-equipped room in the network. It was in Studio D that the 1987 album Bad and part of 1991's Dangerous took shape, including significant tracks from Michael Jackson's repertoire. Years later, the same complex hosted artists such as Madonna, Rihanna, and Mariah Carey. It remains active.
