Turma da Colina

The Story

Colina is the residential complex at the University of Brasília (UnB) where the children of university professors would gather to play and compose. Underneath Block A, the band Aborto Elétrico was formed in 1978, with Renato Russo on bass. The seeds of Legião Urbana, Plebe Rude, and Capital Inicial were planted here. It is currently a cultural heritage site for the rock movement, with a official plaque from the Rota do Rock inaugurated in 2021.
