Torre de TV de Brasília

Rota do Rock

1970s–1990s

The Story

The iconic 230-meter tower, designed by Lúcio Costa and inaugurated in 1967, hosted numerous rock and alternative music shows on its surrounding grounds from the 1970s to the 1990s. The former Hippie Fair, famous in the 70s, also operated nearby. In 2021, the TV Tower was the first spot to receive the official Rota Brasília Capital do Rock plaque, celebrated with a local band concert.
