Route

From her first apartment to the studios where she became the Queen of Pop, this itinerary follows Madonna's footsteps in New York. It passes through the apartment in the East Village where she arrived almost penniless, through the nightclubs where she danced, worked in the cloakroom, and was discovered, through the underground scene of the Music Building, and ends in the compact cluster of studios in Midtown where "Like a Virgin" and the sound of the 80s were born.
